Week 7 Lecture Exercise

This photo was taken at Halloween Horror Nights (HHN) 2019 at USS. It was at a scare zone called Death Fest, which is meant to emulate a Death Metal Festival. The color palette I created from it consists of the following colors:

The colors work well together, with majority of the photo having dark red-ish hues with a midnight blue hue to complement it. These colors convey a sense of danger and violence which is reminiscent of a death metal concert. The use of red is appropriate in the setting as well because it has connotations of blood, a typical convention in the horror genre and haunted houses. All these work together to create a scary and nerve-wrecking atmosphere to those who attend HHN.
